Being a parent is the most challenging, yet rewarding, experience you will ever have. Parents and families need skills to get through each and every day. Granted, your child may receive therapies for several hours each week, but you are the one caring for your child each and every day for a majority of the time. Family Training is direct instruction provided to the family by a certified Habilitative Intervention professional or Clinical Supervisor. The staff person, family, and child work together to practice and teach skills necessary to maximize learning and decrease challenging behaviors. Family Training allows the staff person and the family to work together as a team to learn and practice the skills necessary to better meet the needs of your child. This service is required by the State of Idaho when your child is receiving Habilitative Intervention.
