The Department of Health & Welfare is offering an outreach opportunity for Spanish speaking families. Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10am-noon in the Nampa DHW office. This group is ran by their two Spanish speaking contracted case managers, Virgi Blaine and Lucy Olmos

The topics to be discussed include "Activities for Children w/Disabilities" (i.e. sports, music, etc), "Community Resources" (i.e. English classes, Driving classes, Technology classes), "Advocating for your Rights" (Toni and Griselda will be presenting on the Partners in Policy program through the DD Council) and "Diagnosis and Evaluations" (i.e. specific diagnosis, how to know where to look for a diagnosis on an eval, SIBR, neurodevelopmental evals, etc.)
